I am a Citizen

Here I was thinking becoming a Citizen of the United States takes forever... BOY was I wrong... Once I passed test and all I was offered to do a swear in at either noon or 3pm... Unfortunately I had to postpone the date, due to me flying to Germany THAT night...
There was no need to be worried that they may forget about me because while still in Germany I received my notification date...

Friday June 19th was my D-Day!!!

It was pretty cool, we were 53 people at the 11:00am ceremony...

53 people that had one thing in common... We all got a little Flag... j/k

They were from all over the place, all kinds of races, all kinds of languages were spoken in that room... And soon we were all going to be US Citizens...

It was very moving when all applicants did the oath, followed by the "Pledge of Allegiance"

I am glad that the picture on my Naturalization Certificate came out good ~ unlike my drivers license... LOL

Since becoming a Citizen I've registered to vote (here I come election 2012) and I still need to go the Social Security Office to update my status in the system... I hope it doesn't effect the voters registration?!?!? and I've already filled out my application for a passport... Just need to make the trip to the post office... Last but not least I survived my first 4th of July as a Citizen... :)
