8 months

um.... where did the time go?  Oliver turned 8 months today and it amazes me how fast time has been flying by...

He loves to twist and turn from back to stomach and vice versa (he was kind of lazy for a loooooong time), he started backwards scooting and sometimes he attempts to crawl by pushing his little toosh up in the air.  If the Iphone is within his reach he will go from a sitting position onto his belly and will try and get his little fingers on it and LOVES to chew on it.

Shrieking is his favorite past time activity - he.is.loud!!!

To Bump(er) or not to Bump(er)

Oliver loved his bassinet and spend a wonderful 7 months in it.  I also loved it, because it meant I didn't have to leave the comfort of my bed to feed him at night (lazy me!!!).  It took him a week to get used to sleeping in this HUGE bed and something was missing....  I caved and bought a bumper, why?  Because I figured my child NEEDS it.  He NEEDS the coziness.  Well he did... for about a month and now he uses the bumper to pull on and play with... ummm yeah NOT safe....  a few times he pulled himself close to it - too close for my opinion...  

For now we are bumper free and let's see if we are going to need him in the future... if not I can add it to my short list of "yeah, I didn't need that" baby list :)
